Jamie Guttierez

Jamie has been in the hair industry since 2005, and has had extensive training in cut and color. Her loyal clientele reflects the individualized treatment she devotes to every person who sees her for their hair needs.

I pride myself in consulting with each client to give them a style that best suits their personality and lifestyle, I love creating colors and cuts that complement skin tones and maintain natural pigments. Candice Ryan

I attained my Cosmetology license in 2005 and went right to work at Joe Hamer Salon where I got extensive Schwarzkopf and Goldwell training in cutting, coloring and styling hair. Continuing education is a must to stay fresh and inspired. My specialty is listening to my clients and working with them to achieve the look they were hoping for when they leave the salon. Short to long or anything in between, I enjoy cutting with a variety of tools, scissors or razor depending on the hair texture and desired look. From soft highlights to funky color I will send you on your way with beautiful shiny hair.
One of the best things about my job is getting to make people feel good about themselves, to see someone walk out the door with a sparkle in their smile makes every day a good day for me!

Shauna Powers

My dream as a child was to be an artist or clothing designer. In preschool, I began sketching out my creations, always topped off with a pretty face and beautiful head of hair. My father is a graphic designer, and my mother was in fact a hairdresser, so I have grown up appreciating art and artistic expression. I would always watch my mother, fascinated, completely unaware that this was one day going to be my vocation. After taking some classes at the Santa Rosa Junior College for a few years, I realized what I wanted to do had been right in front of me my whole life.

To me, hair is art. I love to express myself through my hair, and help others to do the same. I love to play around with different color placements, and bold pops of color. I adore red hair, yet also love creating natural colors and highlights that grow out gracefully. Whether fun and piecey or soft and effortless, I help my clients find the right cut for their hair, face shape, and lifestyle. I love to see movement and organic shapes within the hair when cutting. Effortless looks with a playful edge is what I strive for with my work. I am very patient, and always make sure to discuss the likes and dislikes of every new client, and explore improvements or changes to be made on my returning clients.

I am eager and passionate about learning new techniques in hairdressing. If there’s anything new happening with hair, I want to be the one to try it! I am consistently trying to improve my craft, as there’s always something new to learn. I have been extensively trained in Schwarzkopf Professional, and have attended numerous hands-on cut and color classes with Goldwell and Schwarzkopf Professional.

Jill Mcilvaine

With 34 years experience, Jill is an expert hair colorist and stylist. A master of her craft, she keeps up with the latest techniques and hair trends and enjoys working with clients to come up with their own individual styles. She has spent several years as a highly sought after instructor and owned her own salon for almost 14 years. Since then, she has worked at several leading salons in San Francisco and Petaluma and now is pleased to be a part of the dynamic Dukes and Dolls team.

Whether you want a contemporary classic cut/color or a funky avant-garde style, you will not only be delighted with Jill’s results but also her warm and enthusiastic personality.

Kirsten Haynes

Petaluma born and raised, this experienced, outgoing hair and makeup professional blends a life-long love of nature and the outdoors with her passion for creating exquisite, custom color highlights and hair cuts.

Matching client lifestyles to their personal hair and makeup palette is Kirsten's specialty as an artist. This lively and enthusiastic master stylist in Hothead Extensions gains inspiration out at the beach, hiking, snowboarding, kayaking and camping. Not surprisingly, her custom colors for everyday hairstyling, as well as bridal and special event makeup range from natural to dramatic.

Licensed since 2007, Kirsten is trained in fresh and dynamic Tigi international creative cutting systems as well as continual educational classes in coloring, cutting, makeup and extensions, for the latest techniques. Some of these include: Vidal Sassoon, Aveda, MAC cosmetics, Hot Head Hair Extensions, Salvage Supply Co, and Bumble and Bumble.

Whether you are looking for soft, natural, dimensional highlights or you prefer the results of non-traditional, non-foiling, freehand 'balayage' coloring (a modern, chic French technique), or "hair painting" (the American spin off balayage) Kirsten is equally skilled in all three departments.

"Balayage"and "Hair painting" gives me free range on where we want to see a highlight" she says, "It is great for ombre hair, "sun kissed," or subtle softer highlights and it grows out beautifully. It allows me to create a completely unique highlight, it's all visual as opposed to foiling which is very uniformed and has a harsh outgrowth."

Previously at Petaluma's Muse hairdressing, Kirsten thrives on working alongside an upbeat, stylish team of talented collaborators. "We all mesh together so wonderfully, I am so grateful to work along side such beautiful and talented stylists," she says.

Hotheads Hair Extensions are human hair, adhesive weft extensions, applied without the need for tools or heat and designed to lay flat and undetectable against the head. Kirsten is able to color them to match any hair. Application time, along with a custom cut, is generally less than 90 minutes. A complimentary consultation is required.

Patrick Michael

Third generation hairstylist Patrick Michael is dedicated to his craft. Artfully trained from some of the top leading professionals including Schwarzkopf Professional hair colour and hair cutting, Label M creative cutting for men's hairstyles, Vidal Sassoon theory and hands on cutting, and updo and hairstyle training from master wig artists.

Patrick is also trained in massage therapy giving each client a specialized head and neck massage for a spa-like experience at the shampoo basin. His favorites and specialties are color correction and complete transformations.

Mandy Mahar

Mandy Maher has been an innovator in the hair and beauty industry since 2006, though her love for hair design dates back to her childhood. Mandy began her cosmetology education at the San Rafael Beauty Academy, followed by advanced training at Solo Hair Design. She then went on to further her education with leading industry giants—Vidal Sassoon, 901 Salon training, Redken, TIGI, Bumble and Bumble, and MAC make-up.

Mandy is constantly working to increase her skills and expand her creativity. This desire to continue educating herself and strive to add new skills to her repertoire, led her to complete advanced courses in Schwarzkopf, Unite, Davines, Balayage and hair painting.

Mandy’s advanced education extends to wedding and photography styling. Stephanie Rawson

Stephanie Rawson was drawn to a career in hair design from an early age, due to her innate creative passion, and desire to help people feel their absolute best. In 2004, Stephanie set out to put this dream into motion, when she enrolled in Vintage Hair Academy, located in the heart of Napa, California. She went on to complete advanced training in the Joe Hamer Salon Academy program, where she further developed skills in haircutting, coloring, and special occasion styling.

Stephanie loves working with different types of hair textures and styles. She primarily uses Goldwell and Schwarzkopf color, though she is trained in a multitude of color lines. Her vast background in hair color includes highlighting, Balayage, hair painting, and more. Stephanie is also a seasoned bridal hair specialist and loves to craft beautiful looks for brides and their parties, both at the salon and wedding sites.

Always working towards refining her advanced hair techniques, Stephanie is constantly finding ways to stay ahead of burgeoning trends. Her desire to pursue extended hair education has brought her to New Orleans, Ft. Lauderdale, and other major cities, where she has taken classes from celebrity hair stylists, like Kim Vo and Guy Tang.

Stephanie works diligently with each client to achieve a style they will not only love, but that will make them feel beautiful, confident, and ready to take on the world. Jamie Payne

Jamie is a local talent who graduated from the San Francisco Institute of Esthetics and Cosmetology (a Paul Mitchell Partner School) in 2012. After graduation she traveled to London to hone her skills, participating in a hair cutting program at Toni and Guy Academy. Always hungry for knowledge, She went on to an advanced apprenticeship program where she found her passion for color.

She credits her active listening, dedicated attention to detail, and focus on upholding the integrity of the hair to keeping her client’s tresses looking healthy and shiny. She is certified in hot head hair extensions and is always looking to further her knowledge, continually taking advanced courses to hone her skills and master her techniques; specializing in hair painting/balayage. She also has a great deal of experience in bridal and special occasion styling

Always looking to be up to date on current trends; her talent crosses the spectrum from classically beautiful, to fun and edgy color and cuts that accentuate her client’s best features and skin tone.

Macayla, a licensed cosmetologist since 2015, is passionate about continuing education, learning the newest techniques in cutting, coloring and styling, and is constantly working toward perfecting her craft. With a particular interest in creating natural looking, sun kissed highlights and tousled "model off duty" waves, Macayla loves working with her clients to create any custom cut, color and style that fits each individual's personality and works perfectly with their lifestyle. Angelina Cheda

As a proud stylist here at Dukes and Dolls I share my passion for event styling, hair coloring and cutting, and makeup. Devoted to this industry, my clients care about the integrity of their hair and allow me to exercise my intelligence behind the chair. I believe healthy doesn’t just start at the roots, but begins with the scalp. As a visionary stylist who is looking to better myself, I’m consistent with keeping a listening ear while consulting with clients about their goals and concerns.

My heart lies with special event hair and makeup. I love to be able to transform hair with braids, twists, knots, buns, and lots of backcombing! As part of a bridal team that has been the best of Sonoma County by The Knot Wedding Website for the past three years, my goal is to make other people’s days best beyond expectations. I’ve had the pleasure to extend my fascination of skincare to makeup, from proms to weddings I love to do it all!

I enjoy being a colorist and following that up with a haircut that compliments. I’ve been trained by multiple platform artists in hand painting all the way down to color theory. Color fascinates me most because it looks different on everyone and it’s unique to customize what looks best with your complexion, eyes, etc.

I love keeping myself busy with the latest classes and trends for the year. I strongly believe in the well-being of my client’s hair and offer products and services that will only benefit my clients.
